Flight Sim World or Flight Simulator World (FSW), which was announced earlier month as a general aviation aircraft simulator featuring "an unprecedented level of realism and detail', is now out. Flight Sim World was developed by Dovetail Games. Here is my First look at Flight Sim World by Dovetail Games.

Flight Sim World is a flight simulation platform that includes ultra-detailed GA aircraft, comprehensive flight planner, and an advanced flight model.

According to Dovetail Games: "Flight Sim World is based on benchmark technology, FSW includes the whole world as well as several single and twin propeller aircraft to get you started.

The aircraft in Flight Sim World have been created using the latest modelling and rendering technologies resulting in stunning realism and detail. Every switch and gauge in the cockpits are clickable, while a range of animations really brings the experience to life.

Not only do the core aircraft look amazing, but they also react to their environment realistically. A combination of atmospheric effects and advanced mechanics result in a remarkably unique flight experience.

If creating content is your passion, we have included the Pro Mission Editor, which is a comprehensive tool that allows you to create your own missions."

FSW Flight Sim World first thoughts - Flight Sim World on Steam Early Access Review

Trialled Flight Sim World and found the rain and weather engine absolutely amazing.

Although greatly improved with detail, the scenery could do with work looks so much like FSX with Orbx lol.

There's a lot of airports missing - but the ones they have are good looking. Dovetail Games however say Flight Sim World has over 24,000 airports to choose from. Microsoft also has included over 24,000 airports worldwide in Flight Simulator X.

I love the level of detail that has gone into the few aircraft available to fly. The ground work has a long way to go to now be up to the target set by the aircraft, but the base is there.

Flight Sim World has a somewhat childish flight planner.  I think they are going somewhere but a lot to do before I leave X-Plane 11, which I left FSX for.

My Track IR works great!

I'm not happy with performance issues but i know FSW is in the early stage. I dont like LOD radius. The detail distance is also very small too. I really hope they can improve it!

Generally, great work Dovetail Games - thanks for reviving flight simulation.

I know you have secrets can't wait to see some airliners in there!
